{"id":4383,"date":"2018-11-10T19:28:54","date_gmt":"2018-11-10T17:28:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fishforlife.ro\/?p=4383"},"modified":"2018-11-10T19:34:21","modified_gmt":"2018-11-10T17:34:21","slug":"intalnire-factorii-decizie-arealul-proiectului","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fishforlife.ro\/en\/2018\/11\/10\/intalnire-factorii-decizie-arealul-proiectului\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting    -   site Natura 2000 Gilort River"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">EPA Gorj, in collaboration with project partners \u2013 Invisible Nature and Bucharest University (CCMESI) \u2013 organized a first meeting with stakeholders from Natura 2000 Gilort River site between October 31 and November 1, 2018.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among the institutions attending the event, the following are included: Gorj County Council, Jiu Water Basin Administration, Gorj Water Management Company, Targu Jiu National Road Company, Roman Railways Craiova,  National Environmental Protection Agency,  Bumbesti-Pitic, Bengesti-Ciocadia and Targu Carbunesti town halls. At this meeting there also participated<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fishforlife.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Stakeholders-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4396\" src=\"https:\/\/fishforlife.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Stakeholders-1-685x457.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a>The first session of the meeting included presentations from the project implementation team:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Presentation of Fish for LIFE project, Nicolae Calma, Project Manager, EPA Gorj;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Presentation of the species targeted by the project and their food and habitat needs, as well as the current situation of the project implementation area, Istvan Falka, Biologist (right photo);<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Presentation of the results of focus groups organized with representatives of the communities in the project implementation area, Marius Matache, Responsible for Communication.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fishforlife.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Poza-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4398 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/fishforlife.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Poza-2-685x457.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a>Starting from the aforementioned presentations, there followed a series of free discussions on the species that are subject of\u00a0<em>Fish For Life\u00a0<\/em>project, as well as the added value of the project for local communities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second session was a technical discussion with the stakeholders directly involved in the areas where the works will be carried out (left photo). The discussions were aimed at identifying the optimal ways of inter-institutional collaboration and drawing up the documentation and obtaining the necessary permits for carrying out the works of ecological reconstruction.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second day of the event included the field application, with the visit to the two sites hosting the fish passageways from Targu Carbunesti and Albeni. Also, a demonstration of scientific fishing took place on Blahnita River, a tributary of the Gilort River.
