The Gorj Environmental Protection Agency, in collaboration with the University of Bucharest (Centre for Environmental Research and Impact Studies - CCMESI) and Invisible Nature, have organized a training session between 3-7 of June 2024 aimed at the site custodians of Natura 2000 and authorities managing water bodies in river restoration approaches. Among the topics covered in the training session were the ichthyofauna of the Natura 2000 Gilort River site and the pressures and threats to it, the influence of ecological reconstruction on fish species, applied reconstruction measures for the affected species, sessions held by Dr. Adrian Iona\u0219cu, ichthyologist of the Fish For Life project, Ecosystem services, session held by Prof. Dr. Cristian Ioja (CCMESI), Ecological reconstruction of rivers, session held by Dr. Cristian Tetelea (Invisible Nature). Each session was accompanied by practical exercises, and one session was dedicated to a field visit to the places where ecological reconstruction activities were implemented.<\/p>\n
Among the institutions represented at the event were the agencies for environmental protection (Dolj, V\u00e2lcea, Mehedin\u021bi, Vrancea), the Jiu Water Basin Administration, the Gorj Water Management Service, the Mure\u0219 Water Basin Administration, the territorial services of the National Agency for Natural Protected Areas (Gorj, Dolj, V\u00e2lcea). Also, representatives of some protected natural areas (Defileul Jiului National Park, Portile de Fier National Park, Domogled-Valea Cernei National Park, Cozia National Park, Platoul Mehedin\u021bi Geopark, SAC Coridorul Jiului), local authorities (Benge\u0219ti-Ciocadia Town Hall , Albeni Town Hall, Bumbe\u0219ti Pi\u021bic Town Hall, Tg-C\u0103rbune\u0219ti Town Hall, ANPA Oltenia), but also of some non-governmental organizations (AJVPS Gorj, NGO White Wolf Gorj).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
