The Fish For Life project implementation team conducted a first field campaign in August to determine the morphological characteristics of Gilort River, and to determine its current status within Natura 2000 site Gilort River.
In this respect, the team led by Dr. Cristian Tetelea (Ecological Reconstruction Coordinator) carried out a series of expedition measurements in Doseni - Bengesti sector in order todetermine the morphometric parameters, the analysis of riverbed materials, the speed and flow of Gilort River in representative sectors and sections .
These investigations will provide essential information for selecting and optimizing ecological rehabilitation measures for ichtyofauna fish species habitats concerned by Fish For Life project and those aimed at improving the conditions of Gilort River. A second measurement campaign is scheduled for September this year.
