Between 16 and 20 August 2018, a team from the University of Bucharest exchanged experience with the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels (Rhone-Alpes Division), a body responsible for preserving and protecting natural and semi-natural areas in France.The program included visiting three sites on Ardeche and Drome rivers (both part of the Rhône basin) where ecological reconstruction measures were implemented, in particular fish passages to restore the connectivity of some river sectors. Morphometric Measurement Campaign
The Fish For Life project implementation team conducted a first field campaign in August to determine the morphological characteristics of Gilort River, and to determine its current status within Natura 2000 site Gilort River.
Scientific fishing campaign
The Fish For Life project implementation team, coordinated by the IchtyofaunistIstvan Falka, conducted a scientific fishing campaign the Gilort River and its main tributaries (Galbenul, Ciocadia) during July 20-22. This is being done within the action of monitoring the conservation status of fish and macro-invertebrates populations. The campaign took placewithin Novaci, Balcesti, Bengesti-Ciocadia and Pociovaliste areas.
