A few days ago, I told you about the event our team is organizing for the students of Albeni & Pociovaliste schools. 55 students have demonstrated their creativity in story telling to friends and family about the Gilort River and all the elements that make it so special. The contest, themed the Story of the Gilort River challenged the participating teams (of five students each) to create a short film about the Gilort River Natura 2000 Site, about the protected species present there and about the rules that must be followed while in a Natura 2000 Site. Also, students received a multi choice test where their knowledge about this educative event was put to the test.
The jury for this contest was made up of teachers and parent’s representatives. Four teams from each school were awarded with hiking equipment. These were received during the 6th and 7th of June, to mark World Environment Day.
Once more, the winning students will participate in a summer trip along the Gilort River in partnership with the Summer School of Novaci Cultural Committee.
Below, you will find a few pictures from the event.
