As we announced in a series of previous articles, but also on the project's Facebook page, in the area of the Gilort River Natura 2000 site, a series of afforestation and ecological reconstruction works are being carried out as part of the Fish For Life project. Thus, on November 10, the works aimed at planting saplings on the banks of the Gilort river, in the area of the Bengești-Ciocadia commune, were started. Between September 5-9, 2022, Invisible Nature representatives disseminated the results of the Fish For Life project at the 13th European Conference on Ecological Restoration - SERE2022. This took place in Alicante (Spain), the work presented was entitled Use of species – habitat relationships to assist for effective restoration actions (authors Cristian Tetelea, Alexandru Giurea, Istvan Falka). Meetings with decision makers
As I have told on every occasion, the implementation team of the FISH for LIFE project held, between March 2018 and February 2022, several meetings with decision-makers from the project area. Thus, meetings were held with representatives of the town halls of the localities that have lands included in the Natura 2000 Gilort River site, local and central authorities (Gorj County Council, Târgu Jiu National Roads Society, CFR Craiova, ANPM, local police), susceptible land owners to host ecological reconstruction activities (both bank consolidation works and reforestation), administrators of water bodies ...

The ecological education actions carried out within the local communities in the implementation areas of the Fish for Life project continued during the vacation period, through a partnership concluded with the Summer School organized at the Novaci Town Hall.
